Wellbeing at Home

April 30, 2020

As the Covid-19 virus pandemic continues to change our lives, many people are working from home.  Watercoolers Europe recommends healthy hydration for mental, as well as physical, wellbeing. For mental wellbeing, it helps speed our reflexes, improves concentration, helps prevent mood swings and aids work performance. For physical wellbeing it prevents headaches, tiredness and constipation and helps prevent previous more serious illnesses including heart disease, obesity and kidney stones.

On average, adults need two litres of water daily.  Which fluid we choose matters. Everything is fine in moderation, but too much caffeine or sugar will not aid good health.

Other tips to remain positive while working from home:

  • Structure your day like you would when working at your workplace
  • Take regular breaks and ensure you have a longer lunchtime, which could include exercise
  • Focus on all the things that you can do, not the things you can’t
  • Be creative when communicating with colleagues
