NSF makes new appointment

Based in Barcelona, Spain, Mr. Mezquida has extensive experience in food and water systems. He serves as writer or co-writer of different Technical Manuals and Sanitation Validation Protocols for several local and European Associations. He has been Vice-Chair of different Standards Committee's for local and European Associations and currently he is also a Board Executive Committee member of Watercoolers Europe.

Mr. Mezquida holds University degrees in Pharmacy and Food Science & Technology from the University of Barcelona (Spain) and a PDD Executive Education from IESE Business School University of Navarra (Spain).

Prior to joining NSF, he worked as a locum pharmacist in Community pharmacies in UK for 2 years. During this period, he was RPharmSGB member between 1998 and 2001.  After that, he enrolled for 14 years with Laboratorio Dr. Oliver Rodés, Barcelona (Spain) where he carried out duties in different roles: Bottled Water & Spa’s Manager, Quality Manager, Training and Audit Manager, R&D Project Manager, Product Development Director and Management Committee Member.

Mr. Mezquida will contribute to NSF’s mission providing auditing services for bottled water and beverages, dietary supplements and water systems.  He will also use its technical expertise and advisory skills to the development of the NSF beverage quality program.
