Blupura has participated in the Aqua Awards since 2010 and won many prizes. We strongly believe in this competition. We think it is an important vehicle to share initiatives and to enable a better understanding of market trends.

Blupura has been going through a lot of changes recently, especially being acquired by Culligan. What changes will we see as a result?

  • Debora Screpanti

The plan is to continue to make Blupura grow, as the opportunities are huge with Culligan as an OEM customer providing an enormous network of experience, knowledge, connections, sales and service structures. In the past few years Blupura has been growing around 40% every year. We foresee that with Culligan the growth will be even higher. Culligan human and financial resources will enable us to improve our structure and organisation, to develop and promote our products even more.  We envisage that Blupura products will become more competitive for all Blupura customers.

The Culligan Group invested in Blupura, because they believe we’re a good, fast growing, innovative company. This mean a lot of new opportunities for the team of Blupura.

However, the new situation doesn’t change the Blupura philosophy and ethic. Blupura remains an innovative Company with an entrepreneurial spirit, close to the different markets and customer needs. These values and attitudes, as a young, energetic, committed team, made us successful. We aim to continue to be successful, to keep the values, the spirit and the team.

Blupura are exhibiting in Krakow – can we expect to see some of your latest innovations?

  • Debora Screpanti

Definitely yes! This year we’ll introduce BLUTOWER HOT, the first faucet by Blupura able to dispense HOT water. BLUTOWER HOT is a space saver with its small dimensions. It is very robust as it’s entirely made in stainless steel; it’s also a time saver because it can supply HOT water instantaneously, together with cold still water and cold sparkling water. Easy to connect with the undercounter water coolers of the BLUPURA BOX HOT range, it will positively change the lives of people in offices and bars.

Blupura is famous for its “green” credentials – how important is this to the company?

  • Debora Screpanti

The green ethic is part of Blupura philosophy. All our watercoolers are made in stainless steel and work with the natural refrigerant gas R290, a propane gas without fluoride with zero impact on global warming. We’ve been a pioneer of the watercoolers industry in Europe and we’re now a pioneer in the U.S. Our green credentials are a strong additional feature of our watercoolers. Nowadays Sustainability is important and we hope that our initiatives will be soon followed by the others in the watercooler industry.
